I’m a big fan of Be True To Your School (BTTYS) dunks, and the Nike Dunk High SB Syracuse are no exception!
These pink box SB’s are a throwback to the original dunks made for college basketball teams; in this case Syracuse. My pair even came with a special BTTYS hangtag!
There are a couple of ways you can rock a shoe like this. You could wear some light denim and pair it up with a white tee for a very summer/spring type of look. These also would work with some black or dark blue jeans and a black top. In this case, I’m going full summer with some grey shorts and a white Bape tee with some camo accents.
This shoe is great! Quality materials, a nice clean colorway and a send up to some of the first dunks ever made all in one. The BTTYS series in general are great, affordable old school dunks to go after. I highly recommend SB and/or dunk fans to add these types of colorways to their collections!
How Are The Materials?
The materials on these match other BTTYS SB’s. In other words you get an ok quality leather on the toebox, side panels and upper rear and a pretty good suede on the rest of the shoe. Overall the materials are good on these. The suede is soft and the leather is nice and smooth. The quality on these definitely surpasses that of newer releases, but that’s par for the course when it comes to the exceptional pink box quality.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk High SB Syracuse fit true to size. These are not stiff like newer SB’s and will stretch to the wearer’s foot a bit. I think these look great on foot and true to size provides a snug, yet comfy fit that keeps the feet looking sleek.
